Women’s health is a fundamental pillar of sustainable development and inclusive socio-economic progress in India. The Government of India and the state governments have launched several welfare and health-oriented schemes aimed at improving maternal health, nutrition and reproductive healthcare for women. This empirical study examines the impact of selected schemes in uplifting the status of women in terms of health. Primary data was collected from a sample of 400 women respondents across selected rural regions of Lucknow district through semi-structured questionnaires and personal interviews. The findings indicate that there is a significant impact of selected schemes in uplifting the status of women in terms of health in U.P.
